WHAT

Hazelnuts in their shells are one of the best types of food. Monkey nuts are another favourite along with pine nuts, sunflower seeds, linseed, apples, carrots. If youhave frequent visitors, a cuttlefish bone or an antler is good for providing calcium and keeping teeth sharp.

All year round

HOW

From a feeder, high enough to discourage cats, head height on a tree trunk, wall, or shed are good places. If possible near a quick escape route along a fence or wall.

ALSO

Keep feeders clean. Disinfect by scrubbing with Virkon S or Trigene. Wear rubber gloves.
